Melville Exhibition and Event Services, recently acquired by GES Exposition Services and the largest exhibition contractor in the UK, has announced the departure of its managing director, Leon Clifford.

Clifford, who joined from Reed Business Information (RBI) in 2005, is leaving to develop his own business exploiting online communities and delivering live events for them.

Leon Clifford: Leaving Melville

"Leon will be leaving after a period of development that culminated with our recent acquisition by GES and I would like to thank Leon for his contribution to making this happen," commented ceo Nick Marshall.

While Clifford was keeping relatively tight-lipped as to his plans for the future it was perfectly clear that he leaves on excellent terms with the GES Group, and that integration with the US owners is progressing well.

"Melville is an excellent company and I feel sure that it will go from strength to strength as part of GES," added Clifford. "Before I joined Melville, I was a Melville customer and I look forward to being a Melville customer once again."
