Awards for Excellence, BT Global Services' (BTGS's) employee reward programme, scored a double triumph at this year's Motivation Awards.

Developed by THA Group, the scheme won Best All-Employee Programme and Best Employee Recognition Programme at the annual awards ceremony.

The Awards for Excellence programme for BTGS was originally launched by THA Group in 2003, in response to a brief to develop a central and unified programme to drive the values of the company, encourage employees to ‘live the brand’ and then reward them for doing so on a global scale.

Julie Witte, head of internal events and programmes at BTGS, said: "These awards are a great testament to BT Global Services' commitment to recognising and rewarding its people, and demonstrate that we are leading the industry in our motivational approach."

The awards cap an excellent 12 months for THA Group. “We have won awards for each of our core areas; three Gold Awards and the overall Platinum Award for Best Event at the 2006 Incentive Travel and Meetings Association Awards, the Most Creative Programme award at the International Meetings and Incentive Awards for production, and now the prestigious awards for motivation and recognition web based programmes," explained the company's director Nick Robinson.

The Motivation Awards 2007 gala dinner was held on 15 March at the Royal Kensington Hotel in London, and seeks to recognise the development and use of specific rewards for motivational purposes.
