Mayflower is Southampton’s large theatre on Commercial Road, with a second building, Mayflower Studios, at 142–144 Above Bar Street. Both hire out spaces for meetings, conferences and corporate entertaining, for up to 449 people.
Meeting and event spaces
Studio 1 at Mayflower Studios is the largest, with 449 seats across the stalls and balcony (600 standing) and a stage 10m wide by 9m deep. Studio 2, a black-box space with retractable bleacher seating, takes 119 theatre style or 170 standing, and Studio 3, a rehearsal room, takes 60 theatre style. The Ovation Suite seats 60 theatre style or 80 for dinner. In the theatre, the Encore Suite behind the Circle, with 1920s wood panelling and a private bar, seats 30, and the Executive Suite near the dress circle seats 14 boardroom style. The Barova Room at the Studios seats 14 around a table, and the bars and lounges in both buildings are also available.
Mayflower Theatre has no car park of its own; West Park Road and Grosvenor Square multi-storeys are within five minutes’ walk.
