The confirmed announcement

Excel’s announcement of 12 March 2026 says London Build is moving from Olympia to Excel London and will be co-located with elementalLONDON. It gives 25-26 November 2026 as the dates. The release identifies both shows with Nineteen Group and describes the move as part of a growth strategy.

The announcement presents expected attendance and exhibitor figures. Those are promotional forecasts for a forthcoming edition, not audited results. We are not using them as evidence that the move has already improved performance.

A new venue changes the visitor journey

For returning exhibitors, the immediate task is to replace old venue information wherever it survives. That includes travel pages, joining instructions, automated confirmations, supplier briefs and calendar invitations. An organiser can update the homepage while an old PDF continues to send people to the previous building.

The change also warrants a fresh logistics brief. Loading access, stand-build arrangements, storage, servicing rules and the route from transport to the correct entrance are venue-specific. Do not treat a previous edition’s operational pack as a reusable template without checking it against the new manual.

Co-location is a programme decision

Two shows sharing a destination can create useful opportunities to meet adjacent audiences, but proximity alone does not guarantee relevant conversations. Exhibitors should ask how registration, access permissions and the programme connect the two events. Organisers should explain what a visitor can actually attend.

For a buyer comparing exhibition opportunities, expected combined attendance is less useful than the audience relevant to that buyer’s brief. Ask what the forecast includes, whether people can be counted across both events and how exhibitors will understand the audience after the show.

Before making arrangements

Check the organiser’s current joining instructions and venue page before buying non-refundable travel. Use an entrance and arrival time appropriate to your role: a delegate arriving by train and a contractor bringing equipment need different information.

This is reporting on a published relocation announcement, not an assessment of the completed November event. No visit, organiser interview or attendee survey was conducted for this piece.
