You can run a talk, launch or team day for up to 150 people seated theatre style, or 200 standing, in central Nottingham, with the AV, technical support, bar and kitchen all run by the venue’s own staff, so you deal with one team. If your group is smaller, you can book a meeting room by the hour, half day or full day at a published price, and order food from the in-house menu on the day. Antenna is a creative workspace and event venue on Beck Street in the city’s Creative Quarter, part of Nottingham Trent University, and it shares event hire with its sister music venue, Metronome.
Event spaces and capacities
You get one main events space for receptions, talks and parties, and a set of smaller rooms for breakouts on the first floor. Antenna lists a main events space with a stage, in-house AV and conferencing kit, taking 200 standing, 150 theatre or 100 cabaret, plus four meeting rooms. Its meeting rooms page prices three of them: Studio 11, Studio 12 and Studio 15. The venue does not publish floor areas or exhibition space.
| Space | Theatre | Reception | Cabaret |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main events space | 150 | 200 | 100 |
| Studio 15 | – | – | 30 |
Also available: Studio 11, Studio 12 (capacities not published).

Room hire prices are on the meeting rooms page. Studio 11 costs £130 for a half day or £250 for a full day and has an HD projector with a 135 inch screen, two 60 inch side screens, a Logitech GROUP video conferencing system and a large conference table. Studio 12 costs £70 or £130 and has a 70 inch screen with a Logitech MeetUp system. Studio 15 costs £110 or £210 and has the same 70 inch screen and MeetUp kit. Every room has SMART kapp 42 inch whiteboards and support from the technical team, and virtual tenants get 15% off bookings.
If you need a bigger room, Metronome, the sister venue Antenna sells alongside its own spaces, has a 400-capacity auditorium (228 theatre) with a 9m by 4.2m stage, an 8m by 2.5m LED video wall and three dressing rooms. Its corporate page gives 144 cabaret and 120 dinner, while its private hire page gives 100 for each.
Getting there and parking
Your guests can park for a reduced day rate. Antenna has a deal with Victoria Centre car park: members, tenants and guests pay £5.50 a day instead of the usual £16.50, if they take a paper ticket on entry (contactless payment does not get the discount) and have it stamped at Antenna reception before 6pm on a weekday. The venue says there is some flexibility for events that end after 6pm or run at weekends, and Victoria Centre has its own evening rate of £5 from 5pm to 6am. For disabled parking, the venue points to on-street spaces and to Nottingham City Council car parks, with Sneinton Market Square and Victoria Centre the closest. Antenna does not publish rail, tram or road directions on its site, so check the route for your delegates yourself.
Catering, AV and accommodation
You do not need to bring in a caterer or production company. The venue says its in-house hospitality team caters for all dietary requirements, with bar service, buffets, light bites and sit-down dinners, plus cocktail menus made for your event. It names Libra, Stewarts of Nottingham, Start Fresh and Owen Taylors among its local suppliers. The fully licensed bar can stay open until midnight, with an optional late licence to 1am. There are LED TVs in every space, in-house technical support and DJ hire. Antenna has no bedrooms. Reception is at street level on the lower ground floor, a lift serves all five floors, and there are accessible toilets on the upper ground, first and third floors. Lapel mics can be provided in any meeting room on request, and assistance dogs are welcome with notice. The venue is staffed Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
What to ask before you book
- Antenna mentions four meeting rooms but prices three. Ask which room is the fourth, what it holds and what it costs.
- The main events space has published standing, theatre and cabaret figures but none for a seated dinner. Ask for a banquet capacity and a floor plan if you plan to serve a meal.
- Ask how the parking flexibility works for your event if it ends after 6pm or runs at a weekend, since the £5.50 rate needs a stamp from reception, which closes at 6pm on weekdays.
- If you are weighing up Metronome for a larger group, ask which cabaret and dinner figures apply (144 and 120, or 100 and 100), as its two hire pages differ.
- Ask whether the late licence to 1am costs extra and whether DJ hire is priced separately from the venue hire.
