You can keep a residential conference on one estate, with 11 meeting spaces, 121 bedrooms and team activities inside 500 acres of parkland, which the venue puts at a 10-minute drive from Coventry city centre. Rooms run from The Griffin, with 8 around a boardroom table, to The Marquee, listed at up to 500 guests, so you can match the room to your numbers. The building began as the Abbey of Cumbe in 1150 and opened as a hotel in 1995.
Event spaces and capacities
You can choose between period rooms in the main building and two self-contained options: the Courthouse, a former tennis clubhouse dating from 1817 whose two floors can be hired together, and The Abbeygate, a mediaeval-themed hall in its own building. The venue counts 11 spaces. Its current room list names 10, and The De Camville appears only in its 2025 brochure. The largest is The Marquee on the East Terrace, which the brochure also suggests for exhibitions, though no exhibition floor area is published.

Getting there and parking
Your delegates can drive in directly from the M6: leave at junction 2, join the A46, then follow the B4027 for about a mile. The venue describes rail arrival as a short taxi ride from Coventry station, on the main line to London Euston, and gives Bedworth at 5.1 miles and Canley at 6 miles. Birmingham International Airport is 14.3 miles away and East Midlands Airport 28.8 miles.
Parking on site costs £6 for up to 8 hours and £12 for up to 24 hours, with payment due within 48 hours of leaving and 30 minutes free for drop-offs. There are 8 electric vehicle charging connectors on the Monta network at 69p per kWh. The number of parking spaces and any loading arrangements are not published.
Catering, AV and accommodation
You can budget from published starting prices: day delegate packages from £45 per person plus VAT and 24-hour packages from £165 per person plus VAT. Room hire starts at £450 plus VAT, The Abbeygate at £700, and the activity field at £250 plus VAT. The day package covers room hire, Wi-Fi, an LCD projector and screen, a flipchart, unlimited tea and coffee, and a working lunch. The 24-hour package adds a three-course dinner, a Crown bedchamber and breakfast. The Marquee has its own sound system and bar, and the venue says it can cater for all dietary requirements and arrange extra equipment.
For team days, the venue offers archery tag and axe throwing on site and works with Off Limits and Eventurous on activities such as Crystal Maze. Go Ape sessions are booked directly with Go Ape. It holds MIA accreditation, and a Greengage ECOsmart certificate shows Silver for 2025. Its access guide describes a ramped side entrance with a 117cm door, a passenger lift and 4 accessible bedrooms with wheel-in showers. The main entrance has a step.
What to ask before you book
- Which Marquee figures apply to your layout? The room page gives 450 theatre and 350 rounds over 40m, while the brochure’s room page gives 400 and 500 over 45m.
- Will your delegates pay for parking? The team-building page says parking is free on those days, but the parking page lists charges with no delegate exemption.
- Can you view the refurbished rooms? The venue says its redecoration images of The Harrington, The Cloisters and The Stuart are artist impressions, and it offers viewings.
- Does the Marquee supplement change your per-person rate? Packages add a room hire charge for it, and the brochure describes its day and 24-hour packages as for ten or more delegates.
- Which bedrooms will delegates get? Some Crown and Feature rooms are in Park Priory, separate from the main building, and pre-ordered dinner menus are due two weeks ahead.
- Is the sustainability certificate current? The Silver certificate on the site ran until 1 January 2026, and some room pages still mention Bronze.
