City-centre Manchester venue in a former railway station, with large exhibition and conference spaces.
What the venue publishes
Manchester Central says its vaulted arches and station clock have been a city landmark for more than 140 years, and that 2026 marks 40 years since it opened as an events venue. It hosts team conferences and training, business expos, sporting events and gala dinners.
Its space pages group rooms by size. Large spaces include Exchange Hall, Exchange Auditorium and Central Hall; medium spaces include the Charter Suite and The Gallery. The venue says there are more than 2,500 hotel bedrooms within a five-minute walk and an on-site car park, and it lists the Concorde Conference Centre and Manchester Town Hall as partner venues.
Questions for your brief
- Which of the large spaces suits your plenary, and what is its capacity in your layout?
- Which other events, including public shows, will share the building on your dates?
- Are the partner venues part of the same contract, or booked separately?
- How will exhibitors load in, and what are the build windows?
