The Merchant Adventurers’ Hall is a Grade I listed medieval guild hall on Fossgate in York, established in 1357 and looked after by the York Merchant Adventurers Company.
Hire and events at the Hall
The Hall is available for hire for weddings and civil partnerships, corporate events and celebrations. Corporate hire covers dinners, networking evenings, awards ceremonies and client receptions, with contemporary dining offered in the historic setting. Celebrations can be held in the Great Hall and the Undercroft.
The Hall is also open to visitors, with preserved architecture, artefacts and exhibitions, including historic artwork, furniture and two collections of silver. Its Merchants’ Coffee House cafe is open to visitors, and the Hall hosts events such as concerts and lectures. It is in the centre of York.
