You can run a day conference on the bank of the River Trent with free on-site parking, room hire and Wi-Fi in every day delegate package, and pitch views from the corner suites and executive boxes. Eleven rooms and lounges are on offer outside matchdays, from the Trentside Lounge for up to 550 guests to a boardroom for 10, so a large plenary and its breakouts can stay inside one stadium. The City Ground is the home of Nottingham Forest, on Pavilion Road in West Bridgford, and its conference and events business takes bookings for meetings, dinners, exhibitions and private parties.

Event spaces and capacities

The venue publishes eleven event spaces. The largest is the Trentside Lounge, which seats 550 or holds 550 standing, has two bars and river views, and splits into five sections; the 2025 brochure gives each section a theatre capacity of 100, which lets you run breakouts beside a main session. For a conference in theatre layout, the Robin Hood Suite is the largest published option at 200. The European Lounge in the Brian Clough Stand has its own entrance and gives access to the executive boxes, which the venue offers as breakout rooms. The venue does not publish floor areas or a dedicated exhibition hall, although it lists exhibitions and trade shows among the uses for the Trentside Lounge.

Getting there and parking

Delegates arriving by train walk about 20 minutes from Nottingham station, crossing Trent Bridge, or take a bus of about ten minutes; the venue says bus routes 5 to 11 stop closest, and the brochure puts the Trent Bridge Victoria Embankment stop five minutes away on foot. Drivers come off the M1 at junction 24 from the south (via the A453 and A52) or junction 26 from the north (via the A610 and the ring road), then cross Lady Bay Bridge; the postcode for satnav is NG2 5FJ. Free on-site parking is included in all three day delegate packages. The venue also points to Nottingham’s seven tram park and ride sites. It does not publish parking space numbers, EV charging or loading details.

Catering, AV and accommodation

All food and drink comes from the in-house catering team, and the venue does not allow outside food or drink. The events team uses a Sodexo email address and the food brochure carries the Sodexo name. The venue says its chefs use sustainable, locally sourced ingredients. Its conference price sheet lists three per-person packages, all with room hire, a dedicated event coordinator, free parking, Wi-Fi, arrival and afternoon refreshments and a hydration station: Kick-Off at £27.50 with a light lunch, Half Time at £37.50 adding stationery, projector and screen, mid-morning break and a working lunch, and Full Time at £47.50 adding flipchart, bottled water and a buffet lunch. Minimum numbers apply. For evening events, the dinner party package is £49.95 per person for a minimum of 80, with a drink on arrival, a three-course set menu, room hire, red carpet and an event manager. The Garibaldi Lounge is offered with free room hire for bookings of 50 guests or more. Several rooms list screens and Wi-Fi, and the venue offers stadium tours, museum visits and pitch-side photos as add-ons. The venue does not list any bedrooms.

What to ask before you book

  • Will your date clash with a Nottingham Forest home fixture, given that the Players Lounge and boxes serve matchday guests?
  • Which capacities apply to the European Lounge, The Vault and the Garibaldi Lounge, where the website and the 2025 brochure differ?
  • What are the minimum numbers for the Kick-Off, Half Time and Full Time packages, and are the 2025 prices still current?
  • How many of the five Trentside sections can you book on their own, and how is sound handled between them?
  • For an exhibition in the Trentside Lounge, what floor area, power and loading access are available?
  • How many free parking spaces come with a day delegate booking, and is there step-free access to each lounge?
