You can run a board meeting, training day or dinner for up to 140 people here and keep delegates, meals and bedrooms in one building, with free on-site parking and 23 bedrooms upstairs. The day delegate rates the hotel publishes include VAT, parking, Wi-Fi and a projector and screen, so the per-head price you are quoted is close to what you pay. The Palm Court is a four-star hotel at 81 Seafield Road in Aberdeen’s West End, part of the Scotsman Collection group, and it says it is within easy reach of the city centre, Aberdeen Airport and P&J Live.
Event spaces and capacities
You choose from four function rooms, so a 12-person workshop and a 130-seat presentation each get a room sized to it. The Hudson is the largest, taking 130 theatre style, 120 for a banquet and 140 standing. The Sanderson holds 75 theatre style, and the Blake and Clayton are a matching pair of smaller rooms for up to 26 theatre style or 20 round a boardroom table. The hotel says every room has natural daylight and blackout facilities. It does not publish floor areas or a dedicated exhibition hall.

Boardroom capacities are 30 in the Hudson, 24 in the Sanderson and 20 in each of the Blake and Clayton. The meetings page also lists U-shapes of 30, 24 and 16, and notes that a pillar affects the Hudson’s boardroom and U-shape layouts. Capacities as published by the venue on its meetings and events page, its individual room pages and its meetings and events brochure, checked 7 November 2026.
The Hudson and the Sanderson each have their own entrance and private bar, which lets a dinner or reception run apart from hotel guests. The hotel lists air conditioning, a sound system and a projector in the Sanderson, blackout blinds, a projector screen and a sound system in the Hudson, and a plasma screen and air conditioning in the Blake. Each room page links to a virtual tour, so you can check sightlines before a site visit.
Getting there and parking
You avoid city-centre parking charges, because the hotel says parking on site is free for event guests and is included in its day delegate rates. The address is 81 Seafield Road, Aberdeen AB15 7YX, in the West End. The hotel names the city centre, Aberdeen Airport and P&J Live as within easy reach but does not publish distances, rail or bus details, the number of parking spaces or any EV charging, so ask the events team for these if your delegates are travelling in.
Catering, AV and accommodation
You get catering, rooms and equipment priced together from one team. The brochure lists two full day delegate rates: £40 per person with a soup and sandwich or buffet lunch, and £44 per person with a two-course market menu lunch. Both include meeting space, Wi-Fi, parking, three tea and coffee breaks, home bakes, a flipchart and stationery, and the website adds that VAT and a projector and screen are included. Breakfast rolls are a £6 per person supplement. A residential 24-hour rate of £185 per person adds dinner, bed and breakfast to the full day package.
For dinners the hotel publishes five set menus from £45 to £100 per person for 15 or more covers, small bites from £16 per person and a hot fork buffet from £16 per person for 20 or more guests. Food comes from the hotel’s own kitchen, which also runs The Bothy restaurant. Overnight delegates can use 23 bedrooms, and the hotel lists discounted accommodation rates for event bookings. Its listed features include a lift, accessible rooms with an accessible ground-floor bedroom with a wet room, disabled-accessible facilities and baby-changing facilities. The bar opens 10am to 11:45pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 11:45pm on Sunday.
What to ask before you book
- The room pages and brochure give the Hudson the highest capacities, but the meetings page text calls the Sanderson the largest private room. Ask which room fits your numbers and layout before you sign.
- Ask where the Hudson’s pillar sits in your chosen layout, since the hotel flags it for boardroom and U-shape set-ups and a theatre audience may lose sightlines too.
- No floor areas are published, so request a floor plan with dimensions if you need space for exhibition stands, a stage or catering stations.
- Check which delegate rate applies to your date and confirm whether the £185 residential rate is per person sharing or single occupancy.
- For overnight delegates, ask how the Aberdeen visitor levy will be charged. The hotel says it adds 7% plus VAT to the accommodation cost for stays from 1 April 2027.
- Ask how many cars the free car park holds and whether it fills on busy days, since the hotel does not publish a space count.
