Reporting basis

Reporting on Nineteen Group's acquisition of FIT Show, using the announcement published on FIT Show's website on 26 October 2026 and Nineteen Group's release as reported by Exhibition News, read on 27 October 2026. Figures and quotes are as published; we have not independently confirmed them.

What was announced

Nineteen Group has acquired FIT Show, the UK trade event for the window, door and glazing industry, from Montgomery Group. The deal was announced on 26 October 2026 in a release from Nineteen Group and a matching announcement on FIT Show’s own website. No price was disclosed.

According to FIT Show’s announcement, the event keeps its brand, identity and sector focus, and the 2027 edition goes ahead as planned at the NEC in Birmingham on 18–20 May 2027. Members of the existing team stay with the show. FIT Show says it attracts 10,000 visitors and more than 200 brands, drawing fabricators, installers, manufacturers, suppliers, architects, specifiers, builders and developers.

Michael Costain, managing director of Nineteen Group, said FIT Show “complements our existing events naturally”. The show’s event director, Nickie West, said: “FIT Show remains FIT Show.”

The two organisers

Nineteen Group’s UK built environment events include London Build, InstallerSHOW, Painting & Decorating Show, Professional Woodworking Expo and PlantWorx. Internationally it runs Build expos in New York, Chicago, Miami, Sydney and Melbourne. The announcement says the deal builds on the group’s relationship with Montgomery Group, from which it bought Professional Woodworking Expo earlier this year.

What it means for organisers and exhibitors

Events Review’s reading, not a statement from either company, is that the deal moves another specialist UK trade show into a larger portfolio organiser, following CloserStill Media’s purchase of ROAR B2B a few days earlier. Neither announcement mentions any change to the dates, venue, pricing or contacts. Exhibitors already booked for May 2027 may want to check with their usual FIT Show contacts whether contracts, invoicing or stand terms move to Nineteen Group.

Related coverage

Venue details for the show’s home are in The NEC profile. Nineteen Group’s London Build is covered in London Build moves to Excel for its November edition, and the earlier deal in CloserStill Media has bought ROAR B2B and its five event brands.
