London Build moves to Excel for its November edition

London Build and elementalLONDON open at Excel London on 25-26 November 2026 after the show’s move from Olympia. Returning exhibitors should treat the logistics as new, and note that the published exhibitor forecasts differ.

Reporting basis

Reporting on Excel London’s relocation announcement of 12 March 2026 and the organiser’s current London Build website, both re-read on 19 October 2026. No visit, organiser interview or attendee survey.

The confirmed move

Excel London announced on 12 March 2026 that London Build is relocating to the venue and will be co-located with elementalLONDON, an event for specifiers and suppliers working on building efficiency. Both take place on 25-26 November 2026. The release says London Build had run at Olympia since 2015.

The show is produced by Nineteen Group. Excel describes London Build as the third Nineteen Group event to move to the venue inside 12 months, following the Retail Technology Show, which moved in April 2025. Excel reports that show grew 11% year on year to 14,000 visitors and 438 exhibitors after the move. Those are the venue’s figures for a different event.

The forecasts do not match

Excel’s March release says London Build and elementalLONDON together will attract over 25,000 attendees and 650 exhibitors. The organiser’s own London Build website, checked on 19 October 2026, promotes 25,000+ registered attendees, 450+ exhibitors and 600+ speakers across 15 stages.

The gap may reflect different definitions, since one figure covers two co-located shows and the other is presented on the London Build site, or the forecast may simply have changed. Either way, they are promotional forecasts for an edition that has not happened. Exhibitors who are still deciding should ask the organiser which figure applies to their stand, how attendees are counted across the two shows, and what audience data they will receive afterwards.

A new venue changes the visitor journey

The immediate task for returning exhibitors is to replace old venue information wherever it survives: travel pages, joining instructions, automated confirmations, supplier briefs and calendar invitations. A homepage is easy to update. An old PDF can keep sending people to Olympia for months.

The logistics also need a fresh brief. Loading access, stand-build arrangements, storage, servicing rules and the route from the station to the correct entrance are all venue-specific. Excel is served by Custom House station on the Elizabeth line and DLR; a previous edition’s operational pack is not a template for that journey.

Co-location is a programme decision

Two shows in one place can help exhibitors meet adjacent audiences, but proximity alone does not produce relevant conversations. Ask how registration and access work across both events, and whether a visitor registered for one can enter the other. For a buyer weighing up a stand, the relevant number is the audience that matches your brief, not the combined total.

Before making arrangements

With the show five weeks away at the time of writing, check the organiser’s current exhibitor manual and venue page before booking non-refundable travel. A delegate arriving by train and a contractor bringing equipment need different arrival information.

Both venues are profiled in our directory: Excel London and Olympia London. For more on Excel’s recent bookings, see our report on its US events figures.
