You can put 850 delegates theatre style or 700 at dinner in one room, then move breakouts and lunch into neighbouring suites in the same stand, all at a stadium five minutes on foot from a Metrolink stop. United Events, Manchester United’s events team, hires out suites at Old Trafford on non-matchdays, and its day delegate package for 2026/27 starts at £56 per person plus VAT with parking and Wi-Fi included. Several of the rooms look straight onto the pitch, and the club says it has 155 meeting rooms and 20 flexible suites across the ground.

Event spaces and capacities

The venue publishes layouts for 16 bookable spaces. The Manchester Suite in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand is the largest at 1,390 m², taking 1,100 for a standing reception, and partition walls let you run two events side by side in it. For an exhibition with heavy kit, the International Suite at the Stretford End gives you 780 m² on the ground floor with ground-floor access for loading and unloading, which the venue does not mention for its other suites. The Salford Grill next to the Manchester Suite is column-free and the venue says it is often used as that suite’s syndicate room. A dash means the venue does not publish that layout.

Getting there and parking

Your delegates can come by tram without a transfer. The venue says Old Trafford Metrolink stop is a five-minute walk and step-free, and the Trafford Park line also stops at Imperial War Museum and Wharfside nearby. By taxi it quotes around 15 minutes and about £10 from Manchester Piccadilly, and 20 to 30 minutes and about £35 from Manchester Airport, using M16 0RA for drop-off. Drivers should use M17 1FP and, on non-matchdays, follow signs to Car Park E2 off Wharfside Way West, which also has accessible bays; there is a 10mph limit on site. Parking is included in the day delegate package, though the price list notes that on-site spaces are limited, and free cycle racks sit in Car Parks N2, E2 and W2.

Catering, AV and accommodation

You get one catering contract rather than outside caterers to manage. Food comes from the club’s partner Levy under its Meetings for Change approach: British seasonal produce, no air-freighted ingredients, UK and Ireland meat, MSC-rated fish and Fairtrade chocolate. Dishes carry a Foodsteps carbon rating from A to E, and the venue says 60% of its menus are vegan, vegetarian or plant-forward. The 2026/27 day delegate package covers room hire, unlimited tea and coffee, a hydration station, morning and afternoon snacks, a light lunch, a digital screen, a dedicated event planner and a quiet, sensory or breastfeeding room on request, for a minimum of 100 delegates and valid 1 October 2026 to 1 April 2027. The training pages mention built-in AV, presentation screens and stationery. You can add the Old Trafford Tour and Museum for guests. The venue does not publish bedrooms on site.

What to ask before you book

  • Which dates are non-matchdays, and whether a fixture moved for television could clash with your booking at a football ground.
  • The real floor area of the 100 Club and 500 Club, since both pages show the Manchester Suite’s 1,390 m².
  • Whether Devils Bar and United Road are separate rooms, as their pages carry identical sizes and capacities.
  • How many cars Car Park E2 can take for your group, given the £56 package includes parking but warns spaces are limited.
  • Whether the £56 rate still applies below 100 delegates or after 1 April 2027.
  • Loading times and vehicle sizes for the International Suite’s ground-floor access if you are building stands.
