You can run a board meeting, a client dinner and an awards night for up to 400 guests at one address on the western edge of Aberdeen, with 42 bedrooms upstairs for delegates who stay over. The hotel says it is 20 minutes by road from Aberdeen Airport and 10 minutes from the rail station, so you avoid a city-centre venue without asking guests to travel far. It sits on North Deeside Road at Pitfodels and describes itself as Aberdeen’s only AA five-star hotel, a rating it received in November 2025.
Event spaces and capacities
The hotel lists four function spaces on its meetings page, from The Nest for up to 18 seated to The Grand Ballroom for up to 400 guests. It does not publish floor areas, a capacity chart by layout, or any exhibition space, so the table below gives only the figures the hotel states and notes the setting each one refers to.
| Space | Banquet |
|---|---|
| The Courtyard | 120 |
| The Invery | 32 |
| The Nest | 18 |
Also available: The Grand Ballroom (capacities not published).

The Grand Ballroom is listed for up to 400 guests with no layout given; the wedding page quotes up to 350 for a wedding with a bar and dancefloor. The Courtyard is listed for up to 120 guests, and the wedding page adds that it takes 250 for a ceremony and 120 for dining with a bar and dancefloor. The Invery is listed for up to 40 guests on the meetings page; its own page says it seats 26 around one table or 32 at four tables of eight, and it opens onto an outdoor patio. The Nest is a private room inside Skylark Brasserie seating up to 18, with drapes that close it off from the brasserie. Capacities as published by the venue on its meetings page and its room pages, checked 5 November 2026.
Getting there and parking
Your delegates can reach the hotel by road in about 20 minutes from Aberdeen Airport and about 10 minutes from Aberdeen rail station and the coach hub next to it, according to the hotel, which can arrange a private car transfer if you ask in advance. Drivers from the south leave the A90 at the Bridge of Dee and follow Great Western Road onto North Deeside Road (the A93); the entrance is on the right half a mile past the Springfield Road lights. Customer parking is on site, just beyond the main entrance. It does not publish the number of spaces, parking charges, EV charging or loading access.
Catering, AV and accommodation
Food comes from the hotel’s own kitchen, so you deal with one team for the room and the menu. The Nest has a dedicated private dining menu, with a bespoke menu on request, and both The Nest and The Invery have built-in screen and audio for presentations. For the ballroom, the hotel says its events team works with you on layout, dining and on-the-day support, and its wedding page mentions a mobile bar, Gladys, that can serve on the terrace and lawns. The hotel’s restaurant holds an AA Rosette. Overnight guests choose from 42 bedrooms and suites, with 24-hour room service. A treatment spa is on site, but the hotel notes it has no pool or sauna.
For stays from 1 April 2027 booked after 1 October 2026, the hotel adds Aberdeen’s 7% visitor levy to the room rate before VAT. Its environmental page says it buys beef, fish and seafood from local suppliers and avoids single-use plastics; it does not list a certificate such as Green Tourism or ISO 20121.
What to ask before you book
- The Grand Ballroom is listed for 400 but the wedding page says 350. Ask what the 400 figure assumes and what the room holds theatre style and at round tables.
- No floor areas or plans are published. Ask for a floor plan of the ballroom and The Courtyard if you need staging, a stand or a screen position.
- The Invery is listed for 40 on the meetings page but seats 32 at its largest dining layout. Check what the 40 figure means, and whether the patio can be held for your drinks if it rains.
- Ask how many cars the on-site car park takes, whether there is a charge, and whether it fills with spa and brasserie guests on your date.
- For a residential event, ask how the visitor levy will appear on a group invoice and whether a room block can be held across all 42 bedrooms.
- Ask what AV the ballroom and The Courtyard have in-house; built-in screens are only published for The Nest and The Invery.
