You can put a 450-seat conference, an exhibition of up to 100 stands and a private dinner under one roof at Scotland’s National Stadium, with two rail stations a five-minute walk away and free parking on non-event days. Hampden Park, now branded Barclays Hampden, sits on Letherby Drive in Mount Florida on Glasgow’s south side. The venue says it has over 30 event spaces, from a ten-seat Skybox to the Hampden Suites, and it hosts conferences, exhibitions, dinners and private celebrations alongside football internationals and concerts.

Event spaces and capacities

You get a choice of five published space types, so a small board meeting and a large conference can both overlook the pitch. The largest published layout is 450 theatre style in the Hampden Suites, which the venue also lists at 1,000 for an exhibition and 400 for a banquet. Its conferences page says each Hampden Suite takes 500 theatre style, that the suites link through the pitch-facing Millennium Suite, and that they split into three soundproofed sections for groups of 100 to 300. The stadium publishes over 1,800 m² of exhibition space with ground-level access. The venue does not publish floor areas for individual rooms.

Capacities as published by the venue on its event spaces pages, checked 5 November 2026. Banquet figures for the Superbox and Skyboxes are the venue’s private dining numbers; Club Hampden is listed at 200 for receptions, networking and evening events.

For exhibitions, the two larger Hampden Suites take up to 50 stands each and each has its own service lift. The venue says Hampden is one of a small number of UK stadiums with an underground roadway for loading and unloading.

Getting there and parking

Your delegates can arrive by train without a transfer. Mount Florida and King’s Park stations are each a five-minute walk from the stadium, with trains from Glasgow Central. First Glasgow buses 5, 6, 7, 7A, 31, 34 and 90 run from the city centre, and the walk from the centre takes around 45 to 50 minutes. By road the stadium is five minutes from Junction 1a of the M74 via Polmadie Road (A728) and Aikenhead Road; the venue gives G44 4QG for sat nav. Glasgow Airport is under 30 minutes from the city centre, and Edinburgh and Prestwick airports are about an hour away, according to the venue.

On non-event days the stadium car park outside the South Stand is free to use, and the exhibitions page says there are over 1,000 complimentary spaces. On major event days passes go to clubs, governing bodies and promoters, and Glasgow City Council runs a residents-only parking zone enforced from 14.30 to 23.59. Cycle racks sit under stairwells 36 and 44 at the front of the South Stand, and an accessible drop-off point is on Kinghorn Drive.

Catering, AV and accommodation

You can take food, drink and AV from the venue’s in-house team, which cuts the number of suppliers you manage. The venue runs a Food Moments menu brochure and separate Working and Premium day delegate lunch menus for groups of up to 100 and over 100. Its dining page covers 10 to 500 guests, with menus from fine dining to grazing, built-in bars in every suite, and optional drinks receptions, including pre-dinner drinks with a private viewing in the Scottish Football Museum. Team days can add obstacle courses or sports days outdoors, a behind-the-scenes stadium tour and a pitchside meal.

The Auditorium comes with two ceiling-mounted projectors and screens, a PA system, two tie-clip and two handheld microphones and a lectern microphone, and hire includes a trained AV technician for the whole event. Its adjoining annex handles breaks and lunch, and the venue says wi-fi is free throughout. The Superbox, Skyboxes and Club Hampden have built-in AV, and the Superbox and Skyboxes offer branding on the stadium scoreboard. The venue does not list bedrooms, so plan delegate rooms separately.

The venue’s accessibility page gives 0141 620 4125 for guests with access needs on Hampden Hospitality packages; the same questions are worth putting to the events team for your booking.

What to ask before you book

  • Which theatre figure applies to your date in the Hampden Suites, 450 per the spaces page or 500 per suite per the conferences page, and how many seats each of the three soundproofed sections gives you.
  • Whether a Scotland international, cup tie or concert falls on or next to your build, event or breakdown days, since car park passes and council parking restrictions then apply.
  • How many stands fit when the Millennium Suite is used as the link walkway or a pop-up café, and the height and weight limits of the underground loading roadway and service lifts.
  • What the Working and Premium day delegate packages cost per head, as the published menus show dishes but no prices.
  • Whether the scoreboard branding and pitchside photographs offered for smaller meetings are also available for a Hampden Suites conference.
  • Step-free routes from the Kinghorn Drive drop-off to each suite and the Auditorium’s tiered seating, and how many wheelchair spaces it has.
