You can put up to 700 guests in one ground-floor suite with its own entrance and car park, then use pitch-view rooms in the Trinity Stand for breakouts and dinners, with catering, a presentation screen and an event planner inside one day delegate package. Villa Park, in Aston, north Birmingham, has been home to Aston Villa Football Club since 1897, and the club runs its conference and events business from the stadium with Levy UK + Ireland as catering partner.
Event spaces and capacities
The venue lists seven named function rooms plus its Trinity executive boxes. The Lower Grounds, formerly the Holte Suite, is the largest at 700 standing or 650 theatre style, and the homepage gives 929 square metres of exhibition space. The venue’s own count of spaces differs between pages (46 on its facilities page, 114 suites, boxes and spaces on its conference page), so ask which rooms are free on your date. It does not publish room areas or classroom capacities.

Banquet is the venue’s lunch or dinner figure. Dinner with dancing seats 604 in the Lower Grounds, 160 in the 82 Champions Club, 150 in The Oak Room and 70 in The Cross. William McGregor’s takes 158 for a buffet rather than a stated reception figure. Boardroom and U-shape sets run from 20 to 30 across the Trinity Stand rooms. The Cornerflag appears in the comparison table at 122 with no layouts given, and each Trinity box holds up to 10, or 12 around a boardroom table according to the facilities page. Capacities as published by the venue on its spaces page and each room page, checked 5 November 2026.
For a conference with tabletop exhibitors, the Lower Grounds gives you a mezzanine lounge and three side rooms within one suite. The 82 Champions Club splits into the 82 Lounge and 82 Restaurant, which lets you run plenary and catering in separate halves. The Oak Room sits beside the executive boxes, so you can hold a main meeting and a small private session next door.
Getting there and parking
Witton station is about five minutes’ walk from the ground and Aston about 15 minutes, both with services to Birmingham New Street. The club gives Birmingham International Airport as 7.1 miles and a 20 to 30 minute drive. Drivers leave the M6 at junction 6 (A38) or junction 7 (A34) depending on direction. The contact page lists 1,000 car spaces, 20 coach spaces and two electric charging points; the FAQ says 400 complimentary spaces and the homepage 500, and the day delegate package notes that parking is limited, so confirm your allocation in writing. Charging points are booked through club reception on 0121 327 2299. The meetings page says Villa Park is outside Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone, so your guests pay no charge unless their route crosses the city centre.
Catering, AV and accommodation
All food comes from Levy; the FAQ says self-catering is not permitted. The day delegate package covers room hire, unlimited tea and coffee, fruit, a hydration station, a buffet lunch labelled for calories and carbon footprint, morning and afternoon snacks, a presentation screen, WiFi and an event planner, with notepads only on request. Minimum numbers apply and no price is published. William McGregor’s has integrated AV with 3-phase power, and the other rooms have screens for your slides. There are no bedrooms on site; the events team will send a list of city-centre hotels. Lifts serve the larger suites, but some smaller syndicate rooms have no lift or wheelchair access. The club says it is a member of the Meetings Industry Association.
What to ask before you book
- Your date against the fixture list, since the club does not host events on match days.
- Exactly how many of the 400, 500 or 1,000 quoted car spaces your booking includes, and whether either charging point can be reserved for a speaker.
- Floor area and load-in route for the Lower Grounds if you plan to fill the 929 m² exhibition space, since no floor plan is published.
- Whether breakout rooms you shortlist are reached by lift, as some smaller syndicate rooms are not.
- The per-head price and minimum numbers for the day delegate package.
- Whether pitchside photos can be approved for your group; the pitch itself is off limits.
